Gene Expression Programming for Estimating Shear Strength of RC Squat Wall

The flanged, barbell, and rectangular squat reinforced concrete (RC) walls are broadly used in low-rise commercial highway under overpasses. shear strength of is the major design consideration because their smaller aspect ratio. Most current codes or available published literature provide separate sets capacity equations for walls. Also, a substantial scatter exists predicted due to large discrepancy test data. Thus, this study aims develop single gene expression programming (GEP) that can be predicting these three cross-sectional shapes based on dataset 646 experiments. A total thirteen influencing parameters identified contrive efficient empirical compared several equations. Owing larger database, proposed model shows better performance database analysis results with 9 models.
